A Day in the Laboratory with Dr. George Washington Carver

Be a student of George Washington Carver for a day! Come prepared to conduct experiments, learn, sing, and have fun. Be ready to spend some time with one of the most inspiring and enigmatic renaissance men of the 20th century. Together, you will travel from Civil War-era Missouri to the halls of Congress and learn about the trials, tribulations, and ultimate triumph of the man known as the "Wizard of Tuskegee." This performance certainly shows that there is more to Dr. Carver than his 300+ uses for the peanut! This event is free for schools. Bus funds are also available for Mobile County Title 1 Schools. Reservations will be made on a first come first serve basis. For more information about this free event, or to make a reservation, please call the Museum of Mobile at (251) 208-7723. The Museum of Mobile is located at 111 South Royal St. in historic downtown Mobile.
